When Sean Lawler saw Pong for the first time at a childhood friend's house, his love affair with electronics and computers was born. A Commodore 64, numerous game consoles, PC's, and an iPhone later and Sean hasn't changed a bit in that regard.

From programming his own Mad Libs applications on a monochrome Apple IIc in his school's computer lab because he had already finished all of the Math for the year, to teaching himself HTML and Cold Fusion programming languages so he could start working on the Web, there always seems to be a keyboard nearby.

Thankfully, there are computers at Omnipress too so we have him covered.

Sean started at Omnipress in the brand new Product Development department, but his skill at bridging the communications gap between techno mumbo jumbo and customers, and comprehensive knowledge of digital services soon meant he was a perfect fit for the Online Collection, Conference Recording, and Conference 2.0 (which is powering this site) Director of Online Services position.

He's had to move to five different desks along the way, but that only highlights his flexible nature.

Sean enjoys creating solutions that integrate multiple types of technologies while at the same time fulfill his customer's unique process needs.

Sean attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Communications (Radio,TV, and Film), and has over 10 years experience in internet-based industries. His free time involves reading, movies, video games (of course), and enjoying beautiful Madison with his wife, and new puppy.

"Hi Mitch (and hi Midori!), You can also use Conference 2.0 as a one-on-one meeting facilitator, we just didn't have it turned on here at Engage 365 because this community doesn't have an actual physical event location. There's some pretty neat features with it too, such as: We can allow attendees to schedule meetings with anyone in the system, limit it to only allow you to ..."

"Hi Cameron, Could you please expand upon #3 in the sponsor area? "Create your event website with your sponsors and ROI tracking in mind.  Best option is to create purchase buttons on your website.  This will allow you to directly report how many sales you have created for your sponsor." I don't quite understand - what are people purchasing with those buttons? ..."

"Great conversation! It also reminds me of the strategy of just "putting everything out there" as a means to control your identity. How could an identity thief steal and use my information when they are obviously not me? See my blog/twitter/foursquare, officer? I was nowhere near that bank on Tuesday! Thanks to Midori and Deirdre and Jeff for drawing attention to the fact that I'm probably a litt..."

"Great post, Jeff.I have been reluctant to use Foursquare for security purposes, although it seems like a lot of fun. Like all social media, I'm in the camp that you need to understand who your audience is and specifically - who has access to your feed/data.When you wrote:"When I first started experimenting with Foursquare a few months ago, I succumbed to the suggestion that it was going to be ..."
