I have 22 years of experience in helping associations deliver education through print and digital media channels. I am also a perennial attendee at the big shows of ASAE, PCMA, MPI, CESSE and AMCI. Attended RCMA for the first time in 2010!

I work strategically with our clients on how to best collect, manage and deliver content to their constituents (not necessarily just members). Helping them provide better value to their "customers" is really what it is all about. I think social media tools are a great way to help with the overall content management process from crowd-sourcing session content & speakers, to selecting sessions and then also serving as a distribution channel for content. Lots of exciting stuff going on with a mix of integrated solutions. Makes for fun and challenges at the same time and I would have it no other way!

In my spare time I like outdoor activities, micro-brews, coaching and hanging out with my boys (10 & 12) and great wife Kristin. I am also active in service projects with our local Lions club. Trips to the BWCA and hunting trips top my list of fun! Little League coaching takes up most of the summer and I split wood by hand to burn off energy built up from watching called third strikes ;)

The results would be beneficial  to all who participate on the simple 10 minute survey about "Remaining Relevant to Members". Please share with others that you think could contribute to this work. Here are the rema..."

"Long Live Engage365! Man... Chris you had me there for second. I have numerous contacts on Engage365 and use it frequently for information re: SM for events and event marketing. I refer people to it all the time and they find it useful. Keep up the great work and great content!"

"Vanessa, I think you are on to something with your observations. Simply put, attendees are interested in content that directly affects them (travel arrangements, ed. sessions they like, etc) as you suggest. The Big Deal, while it sounds fun is semi-traditional PUSH marketing that is promoting an MPI cause, not an attendee cause (or at least attendees don't appear to see it that way.) Th..."
