"David Nour is going to do a webinar on "Twitter as an Experience Enabler for Meeting Planners." (http://engage365.conferencespot.org/meetings/3468)One of the experiences that Twitter enables is a way for folks who couldn't attend to follow along. But what's that experience really like? So here are my questions... * Have you ever followed a conference you couldn't attend on Twitter?* What was yo..."

"At Expo! Expo! there was a session related to this called, The AIG Effect: How to Maximize Your Meeting Amidst “All or Nothing” Anti-Travel Sentiment. I did not get to attend the session, but I met one of the presenters, John Woodstock from Infocomm, and e-mailed him for his thoughts on the topic. With his permission, I share it here..."What I can say from my direct experience is I found not a ..."

"Hi All,Maddie and I are presenting a webinar this Wednesday on this topic. http://engage365.conferencespot.org/meetings/2683Wanted to open this conversation up for any questions, ideas, or examples you may have on your mind. One of my favorite models--which we won't actually cover on Wednesday, so it's not a spoiler--is the TED blog. http://blog.ted.com/ Is something like that replicable for yo..."

Where do you draw the line between the "viral" effect of blogs and social networks and the need for an organization to keep some information private, or an event where media is not invited and the speakers may be a lot more candid than if they were 'on the record?' "Thought it deserved its own t..."

"I've been thinking about this - I'm so not a show daily girl, but I still see so many people who are. I think what I would do is look for a way to do the show daily all pre-printed, but referencing a bunch of stuff online with easy URLs that you pre-determine. That way, you're saving money, fulfilling the needs of folks who want a printed piece, and still creating a bunch of great daily content..."

"In our event work, we use it to do all of those things. I think of social media as an informal learning channel - that's how we get people engaged. By focusing on enriching the learning experience and networking. Once they're engaged, the support we get from that community is phenomenal. Both for marketing and for morale."

"*blush* We were actually thinking along those same lines. We can use the Buzz2009 event blog as the case study...and we can share what worked, and what didn't. Thanks Jeff and Tony!"

"Hey all,Would you guys be willing to share your most memorable experiences related to using social media at an event? I'm looking for personal stories---maybe these can be the basis of more analysis later. For me, I think my first experience was the most memorable---joining up with the texting backchannel at ASAE's annual meeting in Chicago, then attending the Bloggercon. Part of what made that ..."
