I love communicating with people and that's what I do. I build relationships with people and help people build relationships with their members. I use a lot of neat tools to do these things, but even before the social web I was looking at how writing style and presentation made a difference when connecting with people. I started in journalism, went to marketing, and then moved to DC and my association career developed at that time. Now I have jumped to what a lot of people call, "The Dark Side" (a.k.a. consulting), but so far it looks like I just get to work on the things I'm passionate about and go to more meetings I want to attend, so I'm very happy!
