Although I have my top 10, would love to get your input on some of the best practices in the Preparation - Interaction - Follow Through stages of your meeting planning efforts you've implemented or seen. Best answers get a free autographed copy of my books: Relationship Economics (Wiley, 2008) or ConnectAbility (McGraw-Hill, 2010).
Look forward to having you join us on the webinar,
David
So far, the best internet marketing I have seen for a meeting was implemented by Socialfish with their buzz2009.org event. I was really impressed with how they used their event blog to share upcoming news, interviews with speakers, etc. on a regular basis (1-2 times per week). Their web site was engaging and conversational. It had pictures of speakers (note: a simple marketing rule I believe in is that people like to look at people) so I could put faces to names. Then, they used direct email as the primary way to communicate and drive people back to their events site (blog). Twitter was also used.
The funny thing is that I didn't even attend the meeting, but I felt connected to the event leading up to and through it. Comparing it to other marketing events I have attended, their techniques (for their audience) gets a solid "A." As one of the marketing leaders behind Engage365, I proudly say the buzz2009 model has been a good influence on the marketing and launch of our community... Taking us from zero to 300+ members in under 2 months.

Great Session David!
Everyone, What did you learn, and what will you do with the knowledge tomorrow?
I'm sorry I missed the webinar!! Any chance it will be replayed?
Sheez, for someone who hated reruns of the "Facts of Life" so much as a kid, whoever thought I'd be so desperate for Internet replays? :-)
Midori
Midori, Yes, we will be posting the recorded presentation soon. GREAT, webinar...so much content I need the recording to take it all in (thank goodness for replays). When David Nour and I talked a few months back I wanted some real meaty content....he delivered. Stay tuned, we'll be promoting the recording as soon as it's available.
David Nour's session is now recorded and available for viewing. Please spread the word!
