Have you used Twitter chats as a marketing/promotional or community-building tool for an event? What worked well for you?

Kari -- For Engage365, Chat's have been mainly around community building, but I think (if your community exists in Twitter), having a post-event (or during session) chat makes sense. After the event, you could invite the speaker to be a part of a moderated chat which allows attendees and presenters to connect and have Q/A.

I guess the same could be done beforehand. Why not? I have not seen this done.

Anyone else have experience with Twitter Chats for events (promo or community building)?

What a great idea, Chris! I think Twitter chats used in that way gives those who were unable to attend a way to participate from afar. I was thinking pre-show "Twitterviews" with speakers would be a great way to get people excited and give them a taste of what they can expect. I'm sure it would also be beneficial to the speaker by providing food for thought for their upcoming session.
